Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. She also sings. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she faced numerous racial insults which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. She began to gain confidence during the 9th grade, after she took part in a school audition and was highly praised by the judges for her vocal ability. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot she portrayed The Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. In the year following, she joined the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. A singer by profession and producer, she's produced one single and an extended piece. She is an activist who strives to promote LGBT equality.
